[#Vlogmas Day 5] Travel Log: A Day In The Life

Okay, so today was one of the few days this vlogmas that I knew was definitely going to be a blog post ahead of time, and that's for one simple reason: I don't have time! You guys all know how I am with uploading on time - although, you've gotta admit I've been pretty good so far - but it is honestly because I have so much going on. To better illustrate what I mean, I'm going to take you guys around with me and show you what I do on a typical day!

Okay, I was straight up exhausted when editing this video (and I'm going to sleep right after it's uploaded XD) so unfortunately I don't have my usual humorous on-screen comments today~

[#Vlogmas Day 3] My Christmas Wish List

I knew getting a video out this weekend would be difficult since I work both Saturday and Sunday, but it turned out to be damn near impossible! That being said, the festivities must continue, so today I'm bringing you guys my first Christmas-related vlogmas entry~! 


Okay, so I'm actually the type who prefers giving more than I like receiving gifts - mainly because I think I'm great at picking presents - but also because I feel like I'm slowly getting to that age where what I want is too expensive for anyone to buy me OTL Yes, I'm getting old....

Real talk guys, as much as editing out my verbal diarrhea nearly killed me, I actually really enjoyed recording this kind of video and just being able to have a chat! 

I did end up talking mainly about makeup today, but maybe in future I can talk about different topics? Lemme know if you'd like to see more of these kind of videos, and what topics you'd like me to talk about~

[#Vlogmas Day 1] The Han Clan's First Vlogmas!

I have finally submitted to the highest form of masochism, and I've publicly committed to making new content - video or blog post - for you guys EVERY SINGLE DAY until Christmas!

Taking Stock: Autumn 2016 || Painting The Future

Hey guys, Han here~!

This week is my reading week at uni - essentially a week off to catch up on homework for those of your not familiar with the UK school system - so I'm nothing short of snowed under with work. But in a bid to recharge, I took a break to roam around the internet (as you do) and I came across this great post idea called 'Taking Stock' on my best friend's blog - her name is Wunmi and she's legit the most exemplary person I know; don't worry, I'll introduce her to you in due time ;D 

Anyhow! Back to the post: in short 'Taking Stock' is all about self-reflection which is something I love to do, and I thought this would be a great way for you guys to get to know me too, since it covers a lot of stuff I usually don't get to talk to you guys about. I plan to keep my answers 'short' (ha!) but hopefully from reading this you'll learn something new about me, and also start to reflect on yourself a bit too!

Goodbye To The Han Siblings: Why I Changed My Name

As I'm sure many of you have noticed by now, my channel name is no longer going by 'The Han Siblings', but rather 'The Han Aesthetic' and I will now be referring to myself as Han instead of Harmony or Hanzel. This post is just going to be a brief explanation of why I made this change and how this will affect my channel and content. 

The Blog Is Back!

Hey guys! It's been a long time since I've greeted you from here, but I come bearing good news: 

The blog is back! 

Earlier this year I told you guys I was putting this blog on indefinite hiatus because I couldn't manage posting on here and YouTube all at the same time, but recently it's been in the back of my mind and I've finally come up with a way for it to be useful again. However, things are going to work a little differently from how they used to before - rather than running this blog alongside my YouTube channel, I'll be using it as a backup of sorts. 

Essentially since I'm now covering a wider range of topics, and also trying to increase my videos' value of production, each individual video takes a longer amount of time to film and edit that before. So rather than keeping you guys waiting, I thought I could at least upload some simpler but still relevant content up here on the blog.

In layman's terms: video = no blog post, and blog post = no video. 

I know some people just don't like reading so I'll do my best to keep blog posts short, but I just want to make sure you guys always have some form on new content coming to you on a weekly basis. I also plan to try and make the content on my blog a sort of a BTS (not the boy band) so you guys can see more about things that don't usually make it to video such as mini hauls, easy DIYs and stuff like that. 

 I'll do my best to keep a balance between videos and blog posts where possible, I just don't want to leave you guys waiting while I work to put out a video I'm proud of. I hope you guys all look forward to all that's to come, because trust me, it's gonna be great!

Maybelline’s ‘The Blushed Nudes' Palette || First Impressions & Swatches

It’s ironic actually, just recently I was working on a new spring-summer makeup look; romantic, a fine balance between mattes and sparkles - Korean inspired obviously - and using a lot of blush and gold colours. As I was doing so, I remember picking up my 4th eye shadow palette needed for the look and thinking: “How great would it be if there was one palette with all the colours I wanted in it..."

Cue Maybelline.

I kid you not when I say I literally have every colour in this palette already, but I just didn’t have them together! I don’t know how Maybelline heard my prayer but this palette has definitely been the answer.

Mid-Hiatus Update || Where The Heck Have We Been!?

If there’s one thing we’re not good at, it’s consistency; we know, you don’t need to tell us... 

That said, it’s very much so a problem we’re aware of and constantly working towards fixing. It’s been a fair couple of months since we last posted any content on our YouTube channel and even longer on our blog/website, while we do have some valid reasoning, that doesn’t change the fact that we should and can do better.

Over the last two months a lot has happened: the school year was ending (though we still have exams) so we were extremely busy, then Harmony went away on a week’s trip to Cyprus with our elder sister, and then we decided to make a huge business move - which we’ll elaborate on shortly - so a lot has been happening during the time we were away.

But, rather than justifying why we’ve been away yet again, this time we want to talk about how what we’ve been doing will hopefully mean that we can improve our consistency in future, which is where this ‘huge business move’ comes in.

That's why recently we've been discussing a lot within our community how we can all expand our styles and create more variation without diverting from the Ulzzang look. Okay, really though, we've never really been 'big' on the whole New Year's hype thing, to us it's really just another day, but we do also thing it's a great reminder for all of us to look back and see how far we've come, appreciate the things that have been done for us and set ourselves goals for the future (not just the new year) based on the things we've learned~ so that's what we're going to do in this post :3
