Personal Update:: A Very Merry Christmas & An Even Better New Year~~

First and foremost, merry belated Christmas and Happy New Year everyone! We both hope you had an awesome time wherever you were and what every you did, that you were surrounded by loved ones and that 2015 has been kind to you so far~

While we couldn't be at home for Christmas and our mother's birthday (us being in Korea and all) this year was little different since it's the first time we're spending this time of year away from our family, but that being said, that doesn't mean that spending Christmas and new year's in a different manner wasn't still a fun and memorable experience because it most definitely was.

A Very Merry Christmas, Mostly...

:: We couldn't buy a treat since we'll only be staying until June, so in the spirit of giving, Hanzel made this as a present for our flatmates :') ::
Actually, that title is slightly misleading, it wasn't a bad Christmas period for us at all, rather it was very busy! One of our flatmates got lazer eye surgery so us and our other flatmate had to babysit him (not much new there) and make sure he took all his medication and what every else. In between that we tried to fit in the recording of 3 videos, editing them, making this new blog, secret Christmas shopping and taking our flatmate to two other check-ups, as well as the odd errands here and there and of course, Christmas itself.

(As, you've probably guessed we didn't manage most of this, but it's the trying that counts XD)

Usually, as it's our mother's birthday on Christmas Eve, it was definitely weird not being at home for her birthday party and participating briefly via Skype (which was 7am locally OTL) still, it was nice seeing everyone's faces back home and who doesn't like hearing that they were missed? XD That said, we had our own celebration here too.

:: Our flatmate was to kind as to make everyone a lovely Christmas dinner; it wasn't as extravagant as she'd wanted but it was delicious and filled with love - we enjoyed every bite~ ::
Since Christmas is very much a 'couples holiday' in Korea and both our flatmates (and ourselves) are single, it was almost granted that we'd be doing our own thing. We decided to have a lovely Christmas dinner, exchange presents between ourselves and then go out for some noraebang and sing whatever blues we may have been feeling away!

Buying presents was the hardest part because we all tried to do it secretly, but we're all pretty picky too XD in the end we made numerous shopping trips to Hongdae and Edae shopping areas to find the perfect gifts, and we can honestly say that everyone seem more than happy with what they got.

For Hanzel, he received new grey circle lenses since his old ones expired and he'd been craving that eye colour for the longest time. He also received a bit of clothing that he wanted to coordinate for our next seasonal lookbook (but we're not going to show you that just yet, are we? ;P) And for Harmony, she also got a pair of circle lenses and some very special TVXQ merchandise, as well as some cat themed jewelry you can bet she'll be getting full use out of, as well as a couple other little trinkets.

That said, by far the most notable present we got was the gift of a small portable heater. If there's one thing we can't stand, its temperatures below 10*C, and it seemed our flatmate was really tired of hearing us complain about how much we needed a heater for our room... XD

:: And you probably thought we were joking XD ::
Everyone already over the moon with their presents, we headed out for Christmas noraebang and you can bet we sung our lungs out, especially with ever popular 'Let It Go' and what our flatmate call 'Korea's Favourite Christmas Song', 'All I Want For Christmas' as well as some other upbeat classics(?)

Anyway, as you can see, we have a hectic but also fun packed Christmas, but the party doesn't end there! Not when New Year's is right around the corner, and since everyone in Korea ages by one year on New Year's day, you can bet they're going to celebrate their youth at least one last time before the year is up~ how could we resist joining the festivities?

A Happy New Year Worth Anticipating!

:: Ricky, Megg & Momoko~ there's many things we'd like to say but in one word, it's '고맙다 <3' 2015년에도 잘 부탁드립니다! ::

A friend (Friend T, shall we) of one of our flatmates invited her out for a year end party at a club in Gangnam, and since she didn't want to head out by herself, Harmony decided to accompany for the night, and it seems like it's a good job she did~

To cut a long story short, Friend T invited some of his other friends and amongst them was a very charming fellow who caught Harmony's eye, and it seems she caught is too as they spent the night chatting and even decided to go on a date too ;DDD

:: Pre-date selfie, since we met when I had a bunch of make-up on, I decided to meet him with an almost naked face the second time :3 We spent about 6 hours together and we had a nice (though awkward) time! ::
They went on the date the following date and have even arranged for a second date, and according to our other Korean friends, things are looking pretty good passed on the guy's behaviour so, fingers crossed and wish her luck!

In other news, we also went the traditional New Year's celebration at Jonggak where the have a bunch of modern and traditional performances and the classic New Year's count down. It was our first time celebrating the new year away from our family, or attending an actual New Year's event besides our old church party (which we did kinda miss.) It was also really weird to think that all our friends back home were both in 'yesterday' and 'last year' XD Time differences are weird.

Anyway, after that we went to our favourite restaurant with our flatmates for the first meal of the year and that so far has been the end to our New Year's celebration. It may seem like nothing special to most but for us it was a winter full of weird, new and exciting experiences and we spent it surrounded by new people and new friends, and really what better way is there to begin a new year?

Our hopes for this year is expanding our channel and blog and being more consistent, as well as working on our interpersonal skills and building our characters (and wardrobes), as well as taking a step towards our dream as well. We don't really do new year's resolutions since we feel you don't really need to wait for a new year to change something, that said, it's never a bad time to start either.

Anyhow, we wish everyone reading this (and even those who aren't) a wonder and exciting 2015 full of success, happiness, everything you've ever wished for and much much more and we hope that you'll continue to love and support us, since it really means a lot! We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and even better New Years, why not leave us a comment about what you did and your resolutions if you have any? Well, until our next post ne! ^^

P.S. Harmony knows she was supposed to upload the Ulzzang version of the Burgundy make tutorial like a week ago but her IBS has been really playing up recently, so send her prayers and good energy and hopefully she'll be back on it in no time! In place of that, we have a special surprise in story so you guys can have an awesome start to your 2015, so look forward to it!
