:: Commentary & Inspiration ::

So while this outfit is, unfortunately, not inspired by PSY, it definitely still is very 'Gangnam Style,' since it's made up of pieces that I found super cheap at Gangnam Station. For those of you who don't know, while Gangnam is the most expensive neighbourhood in Seoul, inside its massive underground station are a tonne of shops, and most of them have ridiculously low prices! I actually ended up doing an entire haul there since it was so cheap and the range of stylish clothes (only for girls though) was amazing.

Besides being expensive Gangnam is known for being a place full of well dressed and good looking people, and a number of current celebrities and idols were actually scouting while walking through or working part time in Gangnam; it's basically the last place you'd expect to find cheap, nice clothes. It's almost like they're giving you a chance to get the look before you even leave the station.

And speaking of getting the look, I really did step out of my comfort zone which this outfit, there's so much going on here that you might not realise at first glance! After getting my hair done, Hanzel insisted that I looked a bit like BEG's Son Gain, and personally I've always loved the older woman, sultry look but I never through I'd be able to pull it off. Nonetheless, when I went shopping I was looking for clothes that could get me a bit closer to that 'Eonni/Nuna' look. Needless to say I found it.

I've always hated turtlenecks because of one I had as a child, but after seeing so many Koreans sporting them recently I decided to give them another try, and honestly I'm glad I did. Likewise, I've never EVER had anything besides skater skirts and that's because my hips are virtually none existent (XD) I'm all about picking clothes that compliment my body shape and hip-hugging pencil skirts are not the one for me. However, fortunately this one is made of a quite elastic material so it really hugs my lower thighs making the illusion of me having hips!

Top that off with a fedora and some boots (actually a size too small but beauty is pain ;;) and this Nuna is ready to take the world by storm! A lot of people complimented me on this look and I noticed I got a lot more looks when I was out too, so I'm personally really happy~ I've always wanted to try the Eonni/Nuna look since I think it matches my personality more, look forward to more of these kind of looks from me!
